PSSP Leadership & Volunteering Programmes

PSSP Leadership & Volunteering Programmes

The Plymouth School Sports Partnership (PSSP) Young Ambassador, Leadership Academy & Leadership & Volunteering programme is combination of PSSP, local, regional and national sporting leadership and volunteering initiatives aimed at providing students with the opportunity to develop leadership and employability values, attributes and skills through physical education and school sport & physical activity.

The Young Ambassador/Leadership and Volunteering Programme was conceived in response to London hosting the Olympic Games and is now both embedded and established within schools nationally and locally. The Young Ambassadors & leaders will therefore be part of a true legacy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The programme is aimed at both primary and secondary schools and has been hugely successful in enabling students to develop advanced leadership, coaching and officiating attributes and skills. The PSSP also provide  for these attributes and skills to be put into practice within PSSP primary and secondary schools and the wider community.
